Remember that student's immigration status has no bearing on their college admission. With California legislative initiatives (AB 540 and CA Dream Act), college is now achievable for these students. Recent California AB 1159, now permits undocumented college graduates to pursue 40 professional licenses and practice in their chosen careers; e.g., law, nursing, and more. DACA now permits undocumented students to study abroad or leave the US for educational purposes; e.g., field studies, research, etc.
