Principal's Message

Pirate Students and Families,

It is my great pleasure to greet you as the principal of Reedley High School!  The Pirate team of teachers, administrators, staff and coaches are truly a talented, caring and committed group of individuals who work hard to ensure that our Pirate students meet their fullest potential.

The four years of high school are fun, special and an exciting time.  Life long memories are made that propel students into their future ambitions.  Students are making their final preparations to launch into the world of college and careers.  During high school, students become more aware of who they are and begin to identify specific values and interests that will be important to them for a lifetime.  It is the task of the high school to challenge all students to achieve, and to provide opportunities to grow in a positive direction both academically and through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like clubs, leadership, athletics, drama, band and academic competition teams.

We believe that students who are actively involved in high school will endure and be set for future endeavors.  Students’ attendance, attitude and effort during these four years will drive their success for post-graduation life. The entire staff at Reedley High School takes this idea very seriously and works on a daily basis to ensure all students have a plan for after graduation.  We strive to support students in becoming academically and personally sound individuals who are ready to face the challenges of college or career with confidence and success.

High school offers many opportunities for parents to be involved with their student’s education and we encourage you to become an active part of the fantastic Pirate community.  Participation can occur through joining the School Site Council and English Language Advisory Committee.  Joining the Pirate Foundation, or other booster groups, as well as attending games, shows and events are amazing ways to demonstrate Pirate pride.  We encourage you to be diligent in monitoring your student’s progress and communicating with teachers to promote high levels of success.  The partnership of our parents and community is instrumental to our record success.  Most recently RHS was acknowledged as a California Distinguished School.

I look forward to working with you and celebrating many successes throughout the school year.

Respectfully,
