The 2020 Coca-Cola Scholars Program application is now open.

The application deadline is 5 pm est on Thursday, October 31, 2019.

All applicants will be notified of their status by Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be:

- Current high school (or home-schooled) students attending a school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools) who will graduate during the 2019-2020 academic school year

- U.S. Citizens (not a Temporary Resident), U.S. Nationals, U.S. Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees - based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility

- On track to graduate this academic year (2019-2020)

- Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution

Applicants may not be:

- Children or grandchildren of employees, officers, or owners of Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions or subsidiaries.

- International students (with the exception of students at DoD schools)

- High school graduates

- Temporary Residents (Your Permanent Legal Residence is outside the U.S.)

ELIGIBILITY

In order to be eligible for the Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program, the applicant must:

  • Be entering college in the Fall of 2019 as a Freshman at a four-year school for an undergraduate degree.
  • Be currently involved in high school sports, intramural sports, or community based sports.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident (you will be asked to prove citizenship and age if you win).
  • Not be an employee, officer or director of Foot Locker, Inc., or any of its subsidiaries, or a member of the immediate family of such an employee, officer or director.

JUDGING CRITERIA

In order to be eligible for the Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program, the applicant must:

  • Embody good sportsmanship and strong moral character. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes are trusted and respected members of their schools and communities and have built long-term relationships with other students, administrators and community members.
  • Be passionate and committed to empowering the community in which he/she live. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes have made a significant long-term commitment to improving the lives of others.
  • Be confident and enthusiastic about being a leader. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes aren’t reluctant role models. They are confident, honest, and passionate leaders who take on challenges for the greater good.
  • Display academic excellence. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes are intellectually curious, set high academic goals for themselves, and excel in their studies.
  • Be diverse. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes have diverse backgrounds, are from different places, have varied academic ambitions, and play different sports.
  • Be Foot Locker Scholar Athletes material. Foot Locker Scholar Athletes share key attributes:
    • Proactive and highly motivated
    • Inspiring and charismatic
    • Honest and trustworthy
    • Genuine
    • Strong and courageous

Steps to Financial Aid Success
 
1. Visit the Career Center at least twice a month and pick up all pertinent financial aid scholarship information.
 
2. Listen/read the bulletin daily for scholarship information.
 
3.Visit the different types of scholarship search engine websites and register/login personal profile.
 
4.File your FAFSA during the filling period (October 1-March 2nd each school year).
 
5. Contact the financial aid offices of the colleges/universities you are applying to and request information on the scholarship of which you meet qualifications.
 
6. Follow up/pursue all appropriate resources.
